In this update, we’ve added bold and italic formatting to typed text. Giving you more options when typing up notes on your reMarkable or in our apps.

A zoom indicator now shows the current level of magnification in a page or document, and will take you back to the default view with a single tap.

Declutter your outbox by clearing out all recent recipients in Send by email, and make full use of links in PDFs, which are now supported on mobile and desktop in our apps.

Be bold with typed text

Whether you prefer typing notes in our apps or on your paper tablet, basic text formatting with bold and italic type can make them easier to read.

You can use keyboard shortcuts (ctrl or alt + B or I) to start typing in these styles or tap the text cursor to select a word or sentence in your notes, and you’ll see the new formatting icons appear next to cut, copy, and paste. Perfect for adding emphasis or making a point.

A zoom with a view

Finding the right zoom level in continuous pages has been a challenge lately. To remove the guesswork, we added a zoom indicator to the top of the page. This shows your current level of magnification, giving you more precise control.

Tap the icon to snap to the default zoom, or your own custom view in PDFs and ebooks. So you can take a closer look without losing your place.

Clear your contacts
While a list of recent recipients is handy for keeping track of who you’re sharing notes with, decluttering your email outbox is a good habit.

So, the next time you’re sending by email, tap Clear all to remove this list and make room for a new set of contacts. It’s what GDPR would want.

Other improvements
We’ve fine-tuned some gestures to reduce the chance of accidental touches, and improved the scrolling experience in pages so that your content loads faster in longer documents.

Lastly, we have expanded support for internal and external links in PDFs to the mobile and desktop apps.
