Read this article to learn how to disconnect your reMarkable from the cloud. You’ll also find information about what happens after you've removed your cloud connection.
If you’re sending back your reMarkable and receiving a replacement device, we recommend that you disconnect your reMarkable from the cloud. Note that disconnecting from the cloud doesn't cause any files to be deleted from your device. In order to delete the content you have on your device, you have to perform a factory reset.
Follow these steps to disconnect your reMarkable from the cloud:
- On your reMarkable, tap Menu, then Settings.
- Under General, tap on your account name or email under Account.
- Tap Disconnect, then tap Disconnect once again to confirm.
Any recent changes you have made will be synced automatically before your device is disconnected. If you want to reconnect your device to the cloud, go to General, tap Connect to reMarkable cloud, and then Connect. Then go to my.remarkable.com on your computer or phone and click Pair your device to receive a one-time code for your reMarkable.
