Software release 2.7
Software update 2.7 makes it easier to navigate your documents and folders. We’ve moved the ‘Page overview’ button to the sidebar menu so that it’s simpler to work on several pages at the same time. Swiping right when browsing in a folder will take you back to where you were. We’ve also added 15 languages to the keyboard, support for password-protected PDFs, and improved the highlighter too.
Improved navigation
In this update, we’ve moved the ‘Page Overview’ button to the sidebar menu. This means you can quickly skip between pages and navigate large documents without losing track of the task at hand. When browsing inside a folder, you can now swipe to the right to go back a step, or home to My files.
A smarter highlighter
You’ll also notice that when you use the highlighter tool to mark up a document, the highlighted section will snap perfectly into place to fit the text, making it neater and easier to read.
New keyboard languages
Sending emails or making a few edits to your converted notes in different languages is now a breeze, with keyboard layouts in 17 different languages, including French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
We’ve also added a long-press for accented characters and a languages shortcut to the keyboard.
Other improvements
We’ve now added support for opening and editing password-protected PDFs on your reMarkable. Tapping on ‘List view’ from the main menu will now display the title, author, publication date, publisher, and number of pages for each of your PDFs and ebooks, and when you last opened them.
