Read this article for information about buying a reMarkable with Connect as a gift. You'll also find details on how to activate Connect if you’ve received your reMarkable as a gift.
If you’re buying a reMarkable tablet with Connect for someone else, please forward the activation link that you received in your order confirmation (or reminder email) to them. The person receiving the reMarkable tablet will then be able to access their 100-day free trial.
Note: DO NOT click ‘Access your 100-day free trial’, as the link only works once.
If you’d prefer not to show the price to the person receiving the gift, we’ll send a reminder email with a new link that they can use, three days after placing your order. However, they will still be able to view the sales invoice at my.remarkable.com under the Account tab.
Paying for Connect as a gift
The payment card used at checkout will be automatically used for monthly billing of the subscription plan once the 100-day free trial ends, unless it’s changed manually afterward.
If you would like to pay for their subscription, please make sure that the person receiving the gift (and creating an account) has the card details you’d like to be used for monthly billing.
Payment details can only be changed by the person with login details to the reMarkable account linked to the Connect subscription.* You can find instructions on how to update your payment details here.
*Since we can't currently remove or change cards for our customers due to privacy rules, we recommend that you and the giftee come to an agreement on payment for monthly billing.
How to access Connect if you received reMarkable as a gift
If you received your reMarkable tablet with Connect, make sure you ask the person who bought you the device to forward you one of the emails containing an activation link.
In the order confirmation and reminder emails, there’s an ‘Access your 100-day free trial’ button. Tap this to set up a reMarkable account, activate Connect, and manage your details.

Can I give reMarkable 2 and Connect as a gift?
Absolutely. If you'd like to buy a reMarkable and Connect as a gift, place an order in our webshop. Make sure to forward the order confirmation or reminder email to the person receiving the gift, so that they can create a reMarkable account and access their 100-day free Connect trial when setting up their new device.
I’m buying a reMarkable as a gift. Will I be charged for the subscription too?
The payment card used for purchasing the gift, will also be used to pay for the Connect subscription once the 100-day free trial period ends. Your card will be charged unless the details are updated at my.remarkable.com in the Account settings menu. Payment details can only be changed by whoever has the login credentials for the reMarkable account.
I received a reMarkable as a gift, how do I set up Connect?
The person or company that bought you the subscription will have received an order confirmation and a reminder email with an activation link for starting your subscription.
We suggest that you ask them to forward you the order confirmation and activate your subscription by using the link in the email.

I received a reMarkable with Connect as a gift. Who pays for the subscription?
The payment card used for purchasing the gift, will also be used to pay for the Connect subscription once the 100-day free trial period ends. The payment method can be changed by signing in to your account at my.remarkable.com and going to Manage Connect. Change the payment card by clicking Edit payment details and then entering a new card number.
I received my reMarkable as a gift. Can I still take part in the referral program?
If you received your reMarkable as a gift, you’ll unfortunately not be able to participate in the referral program. Referral links are connected to the original payment method that was used for purchasing the device, and referral rewards will be paid to this account if codes are used.
I forgot to forward the email and the activation link has now expired.
The link is valid for 90 days after you place your order. If the link has expired, please contact our support team so they can send you the order confirmation email along with a new activation link. The person receiving the gift can then follow the activation link and set up their account.
The person receiving the gift has already set up an account.
Please forward them the activation link and ask them to sign in to their account using the link you sent. Their subscription will then be active and they'll be able to access the features included in their plan.
