Read this article to learn how to reset your passcode if you've been locked out of your device.
The security passcode on your reMarkable can be reset from the Security settings menu. There is a limited number of attempts to try unlocking your device if you've forgotten your passcode. After several incorrect passcode attempts, you'll trigger a lockout timer that will prevent you from trying again for a short while. The lockout duration increases for each failed attempt, to a maximum of one hour.
If you enter the wrong passcode several times, you can reset your device by following the instructions on your reMarkable and visiting my.remarkable.com. Use the email address and password for your cloud account to log in and reset.
If you've forgotten your passcode, here's how to reset it:
- After several incorrect passcode attempts, an option to reset your passcode will appear on your device. Tap Reset passcode.
- Log in to my.remarkable.com and click Reset passcode at the top of the screen.
- Your old passcode has been reset. Enter a new passcode on your reMarkable.
