What’s covered by our warranty policy
Our extended warranty is there to give Connect subscribers extra peace of mind. If you experience any faults or quality issues related to the manufacture of your device - you'll be able to return it for a replacement. This includes all our accessories, such as the Marker Plus and Book Folio.
The warranty is valid for 36 months from the date you received your device, as long as you have an active Connect Plan, and don't cancel or downgrade your subscription at any time.*
To see if the issue affecting your device is covered under the terms of our warranty, please follow the steps in our dedicated returns portal before submitting a claim for us to review.
*Please read the 'Limited Warranty' section of our hardware Terms and Conditions for details
What’s not covered by our warranty policy
Unfortunately, accidents can happen, and our warranty policy is limited to faults and issues within our control as a company and manufacturer. Therefore, our warranty doesn't cover:
- Accidental damage or loss
- Devices that have been modified or altered
- Damage caused by misuse of the device or its accessories
- Devices used with third-party software or equipment
- Unauthorized repairs
- Software issues due to local restrictions in accessing our cloud services
- General wear and tear
Making a warranty claim
If you need to make a warranty claim, it’s a simple process. To get started, go to our dedicated returns portal and log in using the email address used when placing your order.
It’s important to use the email address you used when ordering (and not your my.remarkable.com account login details), to sign in to the returns portal. This will help us find your unique order ID faster so that all the products you purchased will be listed.
Once you've logged in, just follow the instructions to place a warranty claim. Our support team will review your request and send you an email within three to five business days. You can check the status of your warranty claim at any time, by signing in to our returns portal.
If you bought your reMarkable at a retail store, please get in touch with our support team for further assistance.
What to do if your product isn’t covered by warranty
If your product isn’t within its warranty period, or suffered accidental damage, then we do offer a trade-in program for a replacement device. You’ll get the option to purchase a newly-refurbished reMarkable for a reduced price when you return your device to us.
Local laws and regulations may apply for customers that want to return their device for a refund. If you want to return your device, please refer to the consumer rights in your country.
